Holography Diode Laser
With an adjustable collimating lens, this 4mW holography diode laser makes it easy to make holograms up to 4"x5" (102x127mm) in size. Fully tested to meet the critical specifications required for holography.
Item #DL-4B
$39Well-Designed for Making Holograms
- Adjustable collimating lens, so there's no need for a separate beam spreader
- Unique circuit design provides stable output required for holography
- Coherence length of 1 meter or more
- Flexible for mounting in any direction
This holography diode laser is among our most popular items used by teachers, students, and hobbyists. A Class IIIa laser, it has an 4mW output comparable to common laser pointers, and is appropriate for making holograms up to 4"x5" (102x127mm) in size.
The laser sports an adjustable collimating lens, so there's no need to purchase separate diverging lenses, beam splitters, or mirrors to make basic holograms (see our article "Simple Holography"). Each laser also comes with a battery holder (D-size batteries not included), and does not require any other power supply or controller.
Our diode lasers have been fully tested to ensure they meet the critical specifications required for holographic recording, including single-mode stabilized output frequency, coherence length, polarization, and wavelength.
IMPORTANT: Laser light is a recognized eye hazard. Never look directly into any laser beam or its reflection.
